Dance Dynamics - Ballet Exams 2009

RAD Ballet Exams went off well this year. We were privileged to be able to use Robyn's Studio in Jeffrey's Bay, which made it easier, as the girls didn't have to travel through to Port Elizabeth.
Rene Callis was our examiner and we found her marking very fair. We had 100% Pass Rate, so well done to all the girls. We were particularly happy that the girls all got Merits or Distinctions and there were no passes.

A special mention to all the girls who achieved a distinction.
  1. Shannon Berthelson (highest mark 86%)
  2. Izelle van der Westhuizen
  3. Jenna Davies
  4. Carli van Onselen
  5. Minka Schoonwinkel
  6. Saskia Koopman
  7. Anel Gerber
  8. Pascale Potgieter

Dance Dynamics - Year End Concert

This year the theme of our Dance Dynamics concert will be Countries of the World. During the next few weeks we will be getting into full swing with rehearsals. Exciting Stuff!! Some of the countries we plan on representing are Spain, London, Hawaii, Germany, China, Arabia and of course South Africa.

The concert will take place at the Opera House on the 5th of December 2009 starting at 18H00.

Rehearsals will need to happen on the Opera House stage on the 2nd of December, since we didn't do groups in the Festival this year.

Guys we know we are in the Midst of a Recession, so we have endeavored to keep participation and costume costs to a minimum. We have had to charge a minumum of R100 per child who is dancing in one group and R150 for more than one group. This is just to help us cover the costs of making new costumes, and of course the privilege of dancing on the Opera House Stage. The rehearsal at the Opera House is also charged for, and it is great for us to be able to use the Opera House Stage.

We hope to see all our pupils, young and old, on the stage at the end of the year. This is the highlight of our year and a great way for the dancers of Dance Dynamics to show you their stuff!!
